My last PT test was in August and I have lost about 5 pounds since then but been exercising sparatically. My last PT test I barely passed the run which is normal, barely passed the PU, which is weird because I almost always max, and did fairly well on SU's which is weird. Any advice?

Yes u need to eat healthy in order to keep your strength up. Eat chicken and fish, veggies, fruits, and wheat bread. As for carbs like noodles thats fine just don't over do it.Stay awhile from sugar like candy, ice cream, cake, and dougnuts. This way u will not only lose weight but u will keep your strength up.Good luck on your next pt score.

Well, for starters do PT more consistently. I'm assuming you are Reserves or Gaurd, or you would be doing unit PT daily. Get out there and run, every day. Dont' use a treadmill. Use a real track or surface similar to what you test on.

And of course work on your push ups and sit ups. Great form will make then easier. On your sit ups, too many people use energy going down. Just fall back and use the motion to pop back up.

If you want to lose weight, eat a well balanced diet and keep up the PT. But keep in mind the scale could go up as you add muscle, but you will lose inches!

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard for me, because I'm 48. I've been taking the only 100% Certified Hoodia capsules to lose weight. I've lost 20 lbs in only a couple of months. For a free trial, click on: http://www.naturalhealthhoodia.com/?kbid=9904&m=1 or copy it to the address bar to go to the site. It's only $6.95 for your order to decide if it helps you. Also their chewing gum and lollypops are good. It's the most effective product I've ever used, with NO side affects. I don't even have to exercise to lose weight, but I do. It makes me feel full for hours. I was in the Army for 6 years and had to go through Basic Training twice, so I wouldn't steer you wrong. I have other tips if you want to email me.

For at least 1 or 2 meals a day, I mix Secure meal replacement powder (only 70 calories per scoop) mixed in skim milk or you can use water. It's the best tasting meal replacement I've ever tasted. I could live off it!! The coffee flavor is the best to me, but also the chocolate and vanilla are great, too. I mix all 3 flavors together!! www.procapslabs.com to get the Secure or HSN under Andrew Lessman.

Are you in the Army? Plus exercise every day if you need to lose more weight. Take care.

i know nothing about marathon bars, but i'm assuming that if it is made for a marathon that it is packed with carbs to provide a marathon runner with energy (carbs = weight gain). as for the 8 lbs, it is perfectly reasonable to lose it on 3-4 weeks, especially with as much as you are doing. make sure you drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep also because if you don't then your body will eventually crash due to lack of rest. keep on doing what you are doing and you will surely see results!

make sure that you always exercise and push it to the limit on your pt sessions don't necessarily max out pushups it makes you tired do what you need to pass, and the same on the situps, max the run as best as you can.
