or does this section seem to becoming more of a place to stir people up and get each other ranting and raving then to ask sincere and honest questions and to give offensive and obnoxsious answers rather than give educated or even sincere ones?

Usually...I try to be funny...but well...as you know, I can be mean!

But it's always been that way. You ask about anything but Christianity, and you get " You need to find Jesus" answers. The copy & paste thing is getting a lot less common. But the instigation thing...it'll never die!

I just wish people would lighten up!
I recently ask a Q about if in the end we ALL found out we were wrong...1/2 the answers I got, were along the lines of "I'm not wrong...you are!"

Silly people! : 0

I'm a philosophizing type of person. It's my view that concerning spirituality and religion you should give open and honest answers if you are to discuss such a topic. To give offensive answers and then state something in support of your beliefs is to show flaws in your belief. People from all over the world visit these boards and if we can't be unbiased and fair then we deserve the same lack of piece that the real world suffers. It's our free right, as it is the Internet, to ask questions of people and get fair honest answers without being attacked.

I try my best to be fair and open, and I would expect the same from anyone answering my questions.

It seems to me that a lot of people have their own agendas.
Rather than sharing their experience, they try to brow-beat.
This is not the biblical attitude shown by Jesus & Apostles.
They earned people's respect by sharing their lives.

I know what you mean. People, please don't insult other religions. They have a right to their opinions just like you.
