That depends. Do you want dentures real soon? If your gums are inflamed you need treatment. Likely a peridontal cleaning and possible scaling. Peridontal cleaning is about $200. Scaling will run between $2400 and $3000 and done in four sessions. Then you end up needing peridontal cleanings 2 to 4 times yearly
Don't think dental care important? Besides losing your teeth, you risk early coronary and kidney problems, arthritis and more. All adding up to an early death. Prior to 1890 tooth absesses were the number #1 cause of death. Without anti biotics the absess went septic and you usually died of kidney failure.
Get it treated without delay.
For others, avoid the condition. Brush 3 times daily with a good electric tooth brush. Don't like flossing? Use tooth picks or obtain what is called a proxy brush to clean between teeth.

By which time you have blood poisoning and could die! You really want to run that risk? I don't think so. Get to the dentist and if nothing else get get them pulled out. You'll need some antibiotics first to clear up the infection.
