People couldn't possibly beleive that the entire human genepool started with just two people, do they. Adam and Eve and all that nonsense. It's obviose that that is not possible. Two people populated the entire world? No effin way!

No given enough time two people could not populate the earth. There would be only one race and it would be completly retarded and mutated within like the fifth or sixth generation. There is not a big enough gene pool with just two people. you are talking about a whole lot of incest. It is impossible people, open your eyes learn a thing or two.

I do in fact believe just that. That is what God has told us in the Bible and I believe the Bible to be the true word of God.

Let's see...if 2 people have 6 children in their first 30 years and then those three couples have 18 and then those none nine couples have 72 and then those 36 couples have 216 and then those 108 couples have 648 and then those 324 couple have 1944 and then those 972 couple have .....we haven't even hit 200 years yet. Actually, after you factor in disease, natural disaster, war, etc you will find that the science of mathematics leans towards mankind being much younger than most evolutionists postulate.
But your faith dictates that you do not care and you would not believe it if I laid it all out for you so this is moot...right?

OK how many simultaneous mutations occured to protect the gene pool from these issues you describe after we evolved? Was evolution the result of the change of a total group over time or is there a missing link that bridged the gap? If the link is limited to a single mutation or small group of mutations then why do we not have the same problem that you outline above?
And finally at this point all you have left is to shove all of the gradual change crap down everyone's throat. Proceed if you wish but you know and I know that this does not account for the radical change in the genetics needed to change the species.
Adaptation is not evolution.
I want you to explain the transition from a bacteria to a man in a way that is believable. Sure we might say that a dog can become a horse or an ape can become a man but that is not the most difficult part of evolution to swallow...Heck, I want you to explain the jump from a bacterial to an ant or an ant to a man.
No way.

Have you ever done research into your own family genealogy? Do you have any idea how many people came just from your great-great grandparents? This question is weird. Given enough time, yes, two people could in fact be the origin for the population of the entire earth. Wow.
In response to "outta here" Cain and Able weren't Adam and Eve's only Children. Read Genesis. Also, at the beginning of time, we didn't have many of the things that factor into birth defects. As someone else said, there's no point in arguing with you.

Some people do believe that, and not only Christians, by the way.
There are some Christians who consider that story to be an allegory.
My own p.o.v. is:
I wasn't there that long ago, so I honestly can't say for sure.
Nor can anyone else.
I do know that "with God, nothing shall be impossible"...
But I do tend to think that the Adam and Eve story is a parable...you know, a story told to teach a lesson.
It is, after all, sort of God's m.o. when He wants to make an important point...

It doesn't matter what you believe or not it is still the truth. If it is in the Bible it is a fact , and weather you believe it or not doesn't make any difference.God said to go forth and multiply the earth. Can a man have a baby with out a woman? Can a woman have a baby with out a man? God even sent animals in the ark two by two , male and female to replentish the earth after it was distroyed by the flood, what does that tell you. It takes more faith to believe the big bang theory than to believe the Bible

Yes, sadly, there are some people who have been brainwashed into thinking this fairy tale is a true account of mankind's origins.
It really is astounding the hogwash that people will believe when you start on them early enough.

And, if Cane and Abel were their only children - and Abel was killed, where did everybody else come from?
Something sounds fishy to me - how about you?
