Hey, I'm about to graduate from college with a military science degree and I am a member of Army ROTC. When I do graduate I have deciced, because of my girlfriend, not to go active duty but rather reserve. I have the grades and PT scores to basically choose what I want to do, and my question is what would my chances be to become swat as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve Military Police?

SWAT IS NOT AN MOS IN THE ARMY THIS IS KNOWN AS URBAN GORILLA WARFARE OR COMBAT IN THE CITIES.
THE MILITARY POLICE NOW A DAYS ARE AN INFANTRY GROUP WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT POWERS.
IF YOU JOIN THE RESERVES AND THE NATIONAL GUARD, YOU WOULD BE MORE LIKELY TO FIND A SWAT TYPE ENVIRONMENT. WHEN A STATE HAS TROUBLE(TEXAS, FLORIDA, ALABAMA,MISSISSIPPI) AFTER HURRICANES AND TORNADOES, THE NATIONAL GUARD OR STATES MILITIA IS CALLED OUT TO PROTECT AGAINST LOOTERS ETC.
THE STATE POLICE HAVE A STATE JURISDICTION AND A SWAT TEAM PER SAY.
IF YOU WANT TO GET INTO SWAT, GO TO SNIPER SCHOOL AND WHEN YOU COME BACK YOU HAVE ONE QUALIFICATION FOR THE TEAM IF YOU CAN SHOOT WELL.
BE ALL YOU CAN BE.

Pesky bugs. exciting Poem...i like that final section...made me laugh.
