I don't try to force my beliefs but when someone is attacking me for being thankful to God I get a little touchy. They are entitled to their feelings, as am I. We will keep it like that.

The people that bicker are not the people who are really great thinkers and I do not mean only the Catholics who only try to defend themselves against the onslaught of the nondenominational people. There are people who sit back and see and discern and then make their own mind up about things and the many points brought out on this forum is good for them to see as long as it is not just vicious hatred that we have seen lately.

I most certainly do not, Faith and love are a choice, Neither
can be forced on any one, It is a personal choice.
The only way I can share my fatih is if some one comes to me
seeking, and at that all I can share is my, Experience, hope,
strength, the action is up to the person. Faith is a gift but you can ask for it. Blessings

Just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean I don't have a voice. Sure, most Christians would like us to just shut up and hide, but I have no intention of doing so. I am a valid human being and my voice deserves to be heard as well.

There are people who have nothing better to do with their time but to bash other people's belief systems/traditions. There is nothing wrong with expressing or explaining beliefs to others; however, constant bashing is a big no-no. It serves no useful purpose and proves nothing positive. It only makes bashers look dumb, insecure, and immature.

I don't think that I can force someone into believing in what I believe in. I also don't think it's right to ridicule someone because of what they do or don't believe in. I think that you should respect others, rather they believe in God, Buddah, or nothing at all. But you have to respect other religions to avoid getting into squabbles. For example, some guy posted a question that referred to the Christian God as "some invisible guy in the sky". Yeah, that pisses us off and gets us going. Can you say, DUH? Did you think we'd be alright with it?
But as a Christian, it is our duty to spread the word about Jesus. Some people think that means that they have to force others to believe, but it doesn't. I mean, it just isn't possible to do that. Our job as Christians is to give others every chance possible to learn about and decide for themselves to believe in what we believe in. So don't hold it against all of us just because you ran into some "Bible beater" in the Wal*Mart parking lot.

Isn't it fun to shake the tree? Ring someone's bell? Dispute their certainty?
It is called discussion, debate, confrontation and - it is oh, so human.
We love to think we have all the answers.....isn't it great to point out to someone that they don't have 'em all?
It is a pleasant way to spend an hour or so stirring up the pot....

Some people get their facts wrong about Christianity. I only seek to set them strait.
PS True Christians know that only God can lead people to Christianity.
