You didnt say how old you are, but i take it from your question that you are somewhere in your teens. The teenages and early adulthood are a very confusing time. Your hormones - which can effect moods - are raging, and at the same time you are trying to make sense of the world, separate yourself from everyone else and establish your won identity, cope with pressures and newfound freedom and responsibilities. Its tough. In general, your feelings and emotions are there to help you. Even negative feelings such as sadness or anger serve a purpose. Anger tells you that an injustice has been done that needs correcting. Sadness tells you that that something is wrong. It gets you to sit down and think. If you neglect this process it can lead to depression. On the other hand, if you take sadness for what it really is - either feelings over a loss, or a hint that something in your life is out of balance or needs attention - look at what it is and then take measures to correct it, it can lead to rather productive changes.

hello! i know where your coming from there were times that i would watch tv and cry. i was also a heavy drinker which didn't help because alcohol is a depressant. i finally went to rehab and was told i'm an alcoholic. they also said i was bi-polar, that is where your emotions don't have a happy medium you're either too happy or your too sad. you might want to see a psychiatrist and see what they think. since i've been on meds my life is way better than before. i recommend seeing a doctor to help you with your sadness, i hope you feel better!!!
