I am an atheist. Someone recently asked me if I was mad that Christians were trying to force stores like Wal-Mart to say Merry Christmas rather than Happy Holidays. I said no, and this person acted really surprised because they thought for sure that I would be mad about it. We are all going to die someday and nothing any of us does will ever mean anything in the long run. I decided a long time ago that rather than trying to fight the inevitable end that we all must face, I am just going to sit back and enjoy as the human race rips itself apart and nothing seems to tear us apart faster than telling someone that you believe in a different invisible man in the sky than they do.

It's good to know the spirit of antichrist is not in you. But why would you enjoy, "the human race rips itself apart" because being part of the human race some zealot might take you or some of your friends & family members out.

Im glad to hear that someone doesnt have to be a title or religion... which really is a title... Its kind of like the adult high school. You have the Populer people the jocks, Geeks, Gangster, ect... Well in BIG PEOPLE WORLD we have christianaty, Cathlic, jewish, Wiccan...ect... Its just another title to describe who you are.

I recently saw someone post "If you say something enough you start beleave it" That was a reply to someone not beleaveing in the Bible. In away If they read and say that god is reall enough ... their beleaveing it... His comment went both ways. Its said that most of the wars on this earth are made by Religion, and I'm sad to see how many Christians and other religions smack talk people for not beleaving in the christian way.

We will spend most of our life debating and fighting about what religion is right, but one day we are going to die... I dont want to look back and see that my whole life was debating with people about the afterlife.... that was a waste of my current one.

No body knows what is held for us when we die... Nothing maybe. But we will only know once we get there.

You are being quite disrespectful in your terms here, and yet you're saying there's no point in fighting? Even if you don't abide by the religion, you should respect those of us who do. "Invisible man in the sky"? You don't find that degrading?

We believe in our God, just like you believe in nothing. At least we have something to look forward to.

while i can agree with you, i tend to think if no one will fight for reality, truth, and learning, then it will lose.

i would really like to see this species elevate itself out of reptilian and even mammalian thinking... pure frontal lobe, baby.i know this wont happen in my lifetime, but it has to be worked towards to ever get there.

also, even though i don't believe in god, i do believe in physical laws. one really famous one is "matter cannot be created or destroyed, only changed"

in a weird way, this means no one ever really dies.

so, while i agree that no one should give a flying fcuk about what they call December 25th, we should always strive to get people to seek truth, rather than follow blindly.
