No. Religion is simply a drug those suffering latch onto. If you want to have faith in something then believe. But don't ruin your life by following someone else's faith. It will only create more problems for you. Trust me, I left religion behind because it was tearing my life and the lives of those around me down. I have faith, but I will not make the mistake of following religion again.
If your life has reached a dark place and you don't know how to get out there are people you can talk to and there are places to go. You need to reflect on your past and face everything that got you where you are. You need to face yourself as a person and learn how to solve your problems. Otherwise even if you do fix it, you'll end up right back where you are. You aren't being punished, but karma is a real thing. You do get what you deserve. It's just like the golden rule.
Write down everything that has gone wrong and try to understand how you got there. If you feel you need faith to be stronger then go for it, but don't rely on religion. It's going to hurt and it's going to be hard. Everyone has a dark time in their life, it's how you pick yourself back up that will define who you become. If religion is what picks you up, you'll latch on and become a religious extremist. I know some people like that. You need to find the strength in yourself. Sometimes friends can help with that.
As a person who has been through a very dark and seemingly unending life of misery, it was my will for something better that got me through it not my faith. All I can say is never give up. I never did and my life is 100 times better, without latching onto religion.

First it depends on where you have ended up. It also depends on what you mean by "save me" Faith in something greater then yourself can give you a perspective that can make the world a more tolerable place. It can help you to accept those things that you cannot solve with a degree of grace. Religion is just a method of practicing faith. Religion by it self will not save you from anything but it can provide the tools you need to find faith. Will you be saved from punishment? Probably not if your actions merit punishment. It might make the punishment a more tolerable thing though.

"Religion" is a set of beliefs, and principles that people decide to live by, and can guide you through your daily life. Christianity, and Judaism are examples of a religion, their beliefs following the ten commandments. Your question involves Faith, I think, and whether the belief in God or a higher being can save or impair your sanity. Love, Happiness, and direction in your life will save your sanity, albeit with a modicum of faith in the almighty.

Hun, it is not religion which can save you! It is through salvation only! This is serious as it is an eternal decision!
To be saved, you must realize that you are sinful by nature, as we all are! You must have a desire to turn away from the things in your life which you know to be sinful! Pray! Ask God to come into your life and make your heart anew, in Him!
Seek Him in prayer, in scriptures and above all, surrender your will to His will for your life! Thsi is when true PEACE comes!
I am praying for you that you will indeed, pour out your heart to the Lord and through this, will find peace, through HIm, no matter the mistakes and such! Others may never forgive you,,,God will always forgive!!
I will keep praying for you!

no, religion cannot save you-and there is no church that can save you, either-but don't give up hope, friend-God loves you, truly loves you, and He has provided a way to help you-Christ is the 'way, the truth, and the life'...i've been there-i thought for a time that i 'had it all', had the whole thing figured out...only discover that i had nothing and knew nothing but pain, regret, and hopelessness. i finally stopped running and turned the whole mess over-He accepted me-where i was, who i was, what i was...and He saved me, ultimately, from myself and what i was becoming...i can truly say that i have more joy, more peace, more happiness now than i had ever known or have any right to expect...
i'm not going to tell you what to do, what to believe...all i can point to is my own experience and tell you that there are many others just like me-feel free to contact me thru Y/A anytime-may God bless you, may you find peace

Hi,very interesting your question. You need something which can make you feel safe and also make you think that the thing you are relaying on is a good think. In your case religion is a good moral support and can help you in finding the right path.Besides this you can try doing other activities in order to put your spirit to work and forget about the disturbing things. My advice is to try besides religion some other things like reading or sports,go out with friends.

That depends on so many things. #1: Are you finding religion for your own peace of mind, or because someone else said you should (or for any other reason)? #2: Are you choosing a religion that you truly believe in, or is it what your parents believe (or anyone else)? #3: Is this a spiritual journey for you, where you are finding yourself, learning to love yourself, learning to live happily in this world...or is it just a book and/or someone else telling you how you should live and what you're doing wrong?
Religion/spirituality is a very personal thing. If it doesn't feed your soul, then it won't help you find your answers.

faith is a sequence usual of training a undeniable faith. It actually isn't the religion that saves every physique. this is the concern those days. i do no longer opt to %. every physique out, however the finest examples of what i'm asserting fall in issues like Catholicism. I had went to Catholic church homes of each and every form for years of my existence and now I attend Christian church homes. In Catholicism, merely approximately each and every thing you do is predicated off of technique and practices. once I can bypass to any provider of the month....of ANY month and recite the completed provider with the exeption of the sermon and a few passages, you realize that it somewhat is faith, no longer faith working that church. faith is what's usually being incorrect as faith those days. human beings see the "religious" issues that particular people who call themselves "Christians" do in public or perhaps in private and picture that the movements they're doing are what all Christians do and believe. this is why you're able to in all probability finally end up listening to particularly some Christians asserting issues approximately Breaking faith because of the fact they understand what it somewhat is doing to the Christian faith. faith is what saves you. it somewhat is giving your finished heart to God and believing that His will is the sole way.

We all make mistakes and can get in a mess, you are not alone in that department.
I am not sure about religion simply because if you chose the wrong one you can get into a terrible guilt mode.
This works for me........I just prayed to God and ask him into my life.........it worked..............now I pray to Jesus as well. He has wiped all my sins away and I am a new person.
I dont go to church anymore, but I pray all the time and I have totally changed, and so have my circumstances. Keep it simple and just talk to God he will hear you have no doubt about that...........Godbless youxxxxxx

Only the creator (God) will decide whether you will be saved or not as per your actions and belief.
So please don't just believe what preachers says, use your own intellect and time to understand God and his command. Read religious scriptures, and judge them carefully with all your knowledge and intelligence. Seek truth and be logical to find the right path. You have to give some of your time to know God and religion.
