I'm non-believer and what that is saying is that God has predestinated us unto the Adoption of children.

Predestination is a divine act of God whereby God makes that goal certain for the believer.

Adoption is a divine act of God whereby, God sets a goal for the believer.

It means that the purpose of the universe was for human beings to come to know God through Jesus Christ. Anything more specific than this is interpretation.

I don 't think "predestinated" is a real word, but "predestined" means that God planned to make it happen since before He made the world.
