The 80gig may have more hard disk space but the 60gig is hardware backward capable instead of software like the 80gig... so they are worth the same.

The other guy was right, the 60GB PS3 has more backward compatibility with Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 games and I think that it's worth the same price as the 80GB PS3.

But the reason why they are the same price is probably because, the 60GB PS3 cost the same or a little more to build than the 80GB PS3 because the 60GB PS3 has the Emotion Engine in it that allows it to play PS1 and PS2 games and thats probably why they both cost the same.

Just like the others said. So if you want a bigger HD, then go with 80gb, and if you want to play PS1 & 2 games then go with 60, and be happy that they are the same price!
