She thought that you rejected her, because you said that. She probably still likes you but is flat out embarrased from rejection, call her and apoligize.

Girls sometimes read guys all the wrong way especially if they are feeling ya! She might be ultra sensitive. She was saying that to you cause she wanted you to say "wanna be my girfriend?" That's the only reason why she said that to begin with. Now because she is sensitive, she doesn't think you like her so that's why she is ignoring you. Call her up and talk to her. It'd even be kind of cool for you to play that song and say something like "man this song makes me wanna have a girlfriend."

I think the answer has to be three-fold. #1: She sounds pretty darn sensitive. If you want to be in a relationship with someone who's probably going to be clingy, crying all the time, and blames you for everything, try to make up with her. #2: That was a rather insensitive comment. It sounds a little judgmental. You might want to rethink your attitude a little. I understand you didn't think about your answer before you said it, but it does say something about your general attitude. #3: I don't put up with any guff, personally, so I would have stopped talking to you, too. However, I would have explained why. I don't have time to waste on guys who obviously don't think before they talk...but if a guy hurts my feelings, he deserves to know what he did so that he can decide if he wants to change it. That's just me, though.

no I wouldn't stop talking to a guy for that reason. I would think you were either just joking around or being a smartass. I wouldn't have taken personal. it has to be more to it then that because if it was just that then she's a very up tight stuck up woman. you were just being you and the right thing to do is be yourself and honest because a woman would like that more.

well I would be upset, but I wouldn't stop talking to you, i would think your an idiot for not asking me out though, haha. But she most likely thinks that your being mean for messing with her head, so make it clear you just said the wrong thing and your sorry. Talk to her, even if she doesn' talk back, tell her you like her, and your nervous, that you want to go out, if she isn't to hard headed then you got a date.

I think this may be a reason why girls think guys are so confusing.
I think maybe she was sending you a message when she said that. I would be. If she knew that you liked her, maybe she got confused when you said that. Maybe she's wondering whether or not you really like her, or if she should keep waiting.
Hehe, I don't know. We're confusing, too.
I hope things work out. ^_^

Hmm I suppose she was maybe hinting about you and her getting together but now maybe thinks you weren't interested, you could call her or something and ask her if this comment is the reason she hasn't spoken to you since and if it is, just tell her you didn't mean it. Let her know you like her too! :) I'm sure she'll forget about it when you speak to her and explain things.

No. But if you reread what you stated you will probably see that you should think before speaking. Its not you said anything wrong, because we say exactly what we mean at that moment of thought. You said what you thought, perhaps the timing was off. Nevertheless move on. If your relationship is meant to be, it will find its way back.

dude you were suppose to say: "Will you be my girlfriend"? or "maybe we should go out"? or something NOT what you said... I hate when girls open the door for the guy obviously like that and the guy totally blows it... Its not that hard to think up a good line in 1 second.
