NO!
Tammy Faye was a lovable nutjob.
Falwell was simply a hate filled moron.

Falwell and about 90% of these bible thumping , self righteous, bigots is self serving, vain, a tear jerker. Go back in history and take a look at how she dressed, her make up, jewelery and hairdo. If that did not represent vanity, it does not exist. These people are two faced. they have power and money and they have, without exception abused everything that a real christian stands fro and believes in. Falwell had sex on both sides of the street and when exposed cried like a baby begging for forgiveness. Had YOU done what he did he would be condeming you in national headlines. It is ok for these guys to behave like animals but not for you. Talk abotu sins - how about greed, gluttony - was Falwell fat, that does not come from a good diet. While they scream about the evil of homosexuality they have their 18 year old "Assistants" in the bedroom. They are all a disgrace. Just about the only honest one is the Pastor of the Crystal Cathedral in California. He has been investiagted by about every agency you can name and come out squeeky clean on every account. His son... I don't know but he appears too clean, too perfect. I am definitely not religious but I would go to listen to the father - He has words of wisdom and never condems anyone for anything. One can say he is probably the only real christian in the whole bunch. Tammy and the rest are all wannabe Billy Grahams. He was the first and likely the only other one that got out with a clean skin. The rest are likely the greatest and worset "Sinners" because they preach against sin one Sunday and get down and dirty 6 other days.

I think Tammy Faye was a nice person, who made a better effort than a lot of fundamentalist Christians, to be sensitive and open to others. Jerry Falwell definately was a polarizing figure, that I was not very pleased with.

Hard feelings, no. She came across as a funny, cute, rather simple minded little lady who stood by two husbands who were both convicted of fraud. I'm sure she knew much more about Jim Baker's illegal shenanigans then she ever let on. Her fancy clothes, clownish make up, and greed for material things masked her own insecurities. I was touched by her non-judgmental attitude towards the gay community, who evangelicals have traditionally scorned. In reality, I have the feeling that Tammy Faye was about as dumb as George Burns' wife Gracie Allen was. In other words dumb like a fox. But she's gone now, after a painful and lingering illness, so let her rest in peace.

I thought she was an original walking around with a different pet each week and her overly thick mascara and mink coats. All she could say was "Jesus" what happened to her? Didn't she also appear in that movie with Leslie Nielson and Linda Blair called Repossessed ?

I think people did have hard feelings for her, but they really should have forgiven her. She was human and made a mistake, but really tried to help people later in life. Everyone deserves a chance to reform, and I think she really changed and was a genuinely good person.

There are only two types of people who wear that much makeup - prostitutes and clowns. I think Tammy Faye was a little of both.
