IF you "truly loved deeply" the first guy this question wouldn't be here, would it?
The second guy whom you have wanted to be with - may not be all that you imagine him to be...
But I say (honestly) walk away from both of them - I'm not being mean - but you are not being fair to guy #1.
Take some time and figure out what you want - guy #1 shouldn't have to feel like you "settled" for him...he deserves someone who loves him...and doesn't doubt the desire to be with him.

I liked this guy from the time, I was old enough to even like boys. Which I was probably about 12 when I first started liking him. All the girls had crush on him. Finally when I was 22, I actually got to go out with the guy. We went out several times over the course of a year. At the end of that year I actually met someone I felt I had a connection to and we hit off right away. The guy I had waited on for 10 years never wanted committment, so I decided to completely end it with him and try going out with this other guy. I fell in love with him instantly. We have been going strong for over a year now and are planning on getting married hopefully next year. So, yes I would have to say I would go for the guy who I love so deeply. Sometimes people are not what you really think they are or not what you wanted after waiting so long for them.

Go with the one you truly love, most likely the one you've been wanting to be with forever is just attraction / lust, and obviously if you have been wanting to be with him forever means he was either taken already or played hard to get, in either case it makes your lust and want for him even stronger.....ie....the more we can't have something, the more we want it.....
True love is hard to find, it's not an every day thing, if you do really love this gentleman with all of your heart, then he is the one who deserves it and you deserve his.
Now if you choose to go this route, leave well enough alone....do not lead the other on and on, that will only cause problems.....if you give your whole heart and all of yourself to the one, then there should be no other room for the other.
Good luck,
CT

The best thing to do is follow the advice my mother gave me:
"When in doubt, don't, especially when it comes to marriage because your doubts will become your worst nightmares!"
If you chose the guy you love deeply because you had doubts that it would NOT work with out with the other guy, you did the right thing!

I think you made the right decision. I was in the same boat once two years ago and chose the other guy. I still think about how I broke the heart of the man that truly loved me. Infatuation is a tricky thing...it will pass. Give your man a hug and tell him you love him.

If you truly love a guy and if he loves you back go with that. If we all went around choosing the guy we've wanted because he finally decides he likes us, what will happen to all the guys who have really good hearts. I mean the guy you've always wanted could have a good heart. But to me true love should come first!

Talk them and suggest that you would like to date them both because you're confused, if they don't agree. Then Choose the one you Truly love. Remember you WANT a guy but you LOVE the other one.

"the guy you truely love deeply or the guy you have wanting to be with forever" - Shouldn't this be the same person, you can't love someone deeply and not want to be with them forever and you can't want to be with someone forever unless you love them.

If I had been truly wanting to be with someone forever, wouldn't it probably be because I loved that person deeply?
