Can you tell me what the lifestyle is of a general dentist.

Not to be rude, how much a dentist makes a year in a private practice in New York.

How many hours do you work in a week

How much is Dental School altogether

how many years of total schooling do you need including residency

Please help, thank you very much:)

The lifestyle is what you choose. Family is important to me so that's what I choose
New York is going to be similar to San Francisco (expensive city) , you should gross about 3K to 8K a day. Overhead can be 70% of your gross
I work and ave of 27 hours per week. I have enough business to work more, but I want to spend time with my family.
I'm not sure of current average indebtedness, but at least 250 K
Univ of the Pacific has a 3 year program, Harvard has a 5 year program. Most others are 4. You don't have to do a residency afterwards. If you can, it's a good idea. You make your most expensive mistakes in your first 2 years out. A residency will often give you a 3 to 5 years headstart.

I'm a dentist.

Well, I wake up Monday mornings, drive to work and park by Rolls Royce in my reserved, covered parking spot. I walk in to my office throught the back door, sit in my desk, press the intercom button and have my receptionist send in my three hygienists who take turns blowing me. Then I see about three or four patients a day, charge them for work I don't actually perform, then go back to my 10-bedroom house.

Seriously, most dentists work about 32 to 40 hours a week, average about 32 to 36 hrs. I work 36, but that will come down in a year.

I'm about 2.5 years into private practice and I make over $200k. I will not discuss how much more than that I make. I do not own my own practice. If I did, that number would be over $300k.

Dental school tuition can vary. State schools are less expensive, obviously. Expect to come out with $150k worth of debt, minimum.

Total number of years: 4 years college. 4 years dental school. No residency required in most states, although NJ requires 1-year residencies. Maybe NY does. More states are following suit.

Like medical school, you are not required to have completed college. You only need 3 years of college. Realistically, though, you'll need to finish college unless you are an extraordinarily competitive applicant.

two times a three hundred and sixty 5 days to do verify-up, if have any doubt with reference to the well being, I in simple terms bypass back... this is costly sometime, even however this is very well worth the checkups and looking out after it fairly is stable too.. you do no longer decide for to lose your tooth for fake ones, this is not a good feeling (so i've got heard).
