An unrealistic question - The British Army would never attempt a military campaign without using all arms. As such, Singapore would be quickly blockaded by air and sea and it's lines of re-supply would be strangled. It would never be able to achieve air superiority, and the most likely outcome would be a surrender before a single shot was fired (what modern democracy would allow a massacre of its civilians to take place?).

I cannot think of a reason why this theory should ever be put to the test - GB has massive commercial interests in Singapore and it's population thrives because of it. Who would choose to jeopardise that?

To the person that said Brit has nuclear weapons... That doesn't mean they can use it. The United Nations and other countries in the world would start a world war again if someone used this type of weapon. Maybe some of you don't understand that a nuclear war would be created because someone uses just that, a nuclear weapon. America used two atomic bombs on Japan. No one else had this type of technology at their disposal at that time. If they did, they would have gladly used it against us Americans for having used it in the first place. If the British or any country for that matter who has nukes goes to war, and they then therefor use that nuke, other countries will be ready to push the button due to the fear that that country that started it will easily again push the button towards another country. Every action has an even more devistating reaction. Britian would win but not by means of Nuclear weapons.

I am from singapore and do you know how small the country is? Teenie tiny! Even with mandatory national service, that with reservists combined is still a pitiful number. Besides everyone there is too busy making money than wanting to fight in any war. The US is also allowed to use the changi base and other facilities on the island. But of course the US army will win if in a war with singapore!!
