Deer hunting in north Alabama. Will it hurt my efforts to hunt a ground blind the same day I set it up? I can't leave it in the woods, because it's public land.

You can use it right away..Just a suggestion..Cut your brush with a small hand saw so you don't make a lot of noise cutting brush like you would make if you used an axe or machete..LESS NOISE...Good Luck!

Public Land? I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat. I'm debating on whether or not to even use a blind. There will be so many hunters in the woods. Every weekend I am in the woods. I see nobody else. Come those 4 days of managed deer hunt, though, it's just going to be a line of trucks. The slob that plops down on my right side, and then the one that plops down on my left will pretty much nullify the blind. I don't know.... found a nice line of scrapes and rubs, and saw a nice buck right beside the road. I hope everyone else heads for the hills, and leaves me right on the 51 yard line.

Good luck to you.

No it should be fine. The majority of hunters using blinds hunt from them as soon as they set them up.

set it up out in your yard to keep the household smells off it. It's better than them seeing you moving
