What is the difference between MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPEG, JPG and JPEG?

mp1, mp2, mp3, mp4 and mpeg are all media formats.
jpg and jpeg are the same thing, it is an image format.

jpg and jpeg is the same format (just different name, don't know why), both are picture
mp4 and mpeg are video
mp3 is music
don't know the rest
