Blacks/Gays are have a history of being hated by White America! We even call the Presidents house the "White House" and never had a Black/Gay President.

Further many of the Presidents have been Baptists and now the Ku Klux Klan is headed by Baptists. Even Fred Phelps Esq., an American Baptist leader is speaking out against the Blacks/Gays.

honey, do you want to know how many black baptist there are?
do you want to know how many black baptist hate gays?
the white house was named that because it was painted with white wash which was the most common paint of the time, and they were going for the roman look of marbel.
the first house was made of brick and burned by the english. the kkk was originally a brotherhood of former confederate soldiers that believed 'all' southerners should still have the right to carry arms, but the next "leader" turned it into something else.
you say others are racists, but have you considered that maybe you are racists yourself?
Instead of preaching tolerance, love , and equality, you are busy whining about national discrimnation.
Sister, get off your soapbox, and don't let one stupid idiot like that jerk off get you riled up, becuase i would bet 100 dollars, if i had it, that he's just doing it for the publicity.
All people bleed red, black white, or purple w/ pink polka dots. We are a mainly protestant country, so we don't have much a choice on what denomination our presidents are. JFK was the first catholic president after all.
What, you want a morman in office who dosen't believe someone won't go to heaven because their skin is dark?
Pull your head out of your ***, and don't look for insults where none are meant to be, you overly sensitive crybaby.
Jeez, people like you get on my nerves worse than my five year old because you act younger than that. Now go run home and cry to your Mommy how unfair and un-understanding the grownups are on the internet.

If the KKK is headed by someone who calls himself Baptist then he is Baptist in name only. God loves all people and God does not discriminate. God hates sin and loves the sinner.

The KKK is a sin - big sin. God would ask Fred Phelps if you are without sin you can cast the first stone and Phelps would have to back down.

My friend, white paint is a lot cheaper than black paint. Is a black house practical? If it is, then why don't you see black houses.

I've known many Baptist people who are not racist. There are black people in many Baptist churches and there are black Baptist churches. Phelps just tarnishes the name as do many wicked people tarnish the name, Christianity. The Bible mentions that the devil creeps into the churches. The judgment of God begins in the house of God.

you need to get your facts straight...first off, fred phelps and the klan have been completely disavowed and repudiated by every single major baptist organization-EVERY ONE!
secondly, only 4 presidents have been baptists-harding, truman, carter, and clinton. lincoln was raised in a baptist home, but did not belong to any denomination.
i've met racists of just about every denomination-even those of NO denomination, such as racist atheists-and i have yet to see any greater or lesser percentage of racists in ANY of them.
the membership of my own southern baptist church is made up of people from all different races and 'mixtures of races'-we have whites, native americans, african-americans, 'latino/hispanic' americans, and families made up of every combination you can think of-we are also the host church to an african-american baptist church that was burned down several years ago-our doors and our hearts are open to any and all...so don't give me that phony baloney 'racism' charge-that dog won't hunt!
as for gays, racism doesn't actually apply, since gays are not a race-and yes, there are gays who worship with us-we don't ask people for their sexual preferences, figuring that it's between them and the Lord-do many baptist (and other) churches teach that homosexuality is wrong? yes, they do-and they cite scripture in doing so...you can argue all day about whether that is right or wrong, correct or incorrect, but the charge that baptists 'hate' gays is ridiculous on its face-i have my own views on sexuality, and i choose to keep them private. i will say this, though-i have had gay friends and family members as long as i can remember knowing what 'gay' meant, and my feelings toward them are no different than my straight friends and family-and i do not believe that the law should apply any differently toward them, regardless what ANY church teaches
sorry to jump on a soapbox, but i was raised to speak out against bigotry, hatred, and ignorance-and this 'question' qualifies as a combination platter!

I don't know many baptists, but I've met a few ex-baptists that are very nice people who aren't racist (unless they are hiding it from me). :)
