i had the same exact thing a few weeks ago..i'd get the shooting pain in my inner ear for about 5 seconds, then it came back maybe 30 minutes later. it's gone now but try to get enough sleep and call a doctor if it persists-you never know! it could also be the start of an ear infection.

There could be many causes. You could have a migraine, sinus infection, ear infection, a tooth problem.... but it could be worse. You could have an aneurysm or be having a stroke. Take yourself over the to ER now, don't rely on us, the people of Y/A to help. See a doctor right now!

Maybe it is like migraines. Or it could be worse, like a brain tumor, I would see a doctor about that. Or maybe its from all the heat, try drinking a lot of water and see if it improves, if not go to visit your doctor
