First of all, you have just proved that you are a good person. It bothers you when you think that you have been mean to somebody or sarcastic. The best answer that I can come up with is. First, there is nothing wrong with humbling yourself to your past behavior. That shows a mark of a mature person. Take action to change for the good of what you feel that you need to change. This is what I need to do from time to time.
And that action is to slow down and think before you say something. The good in you will do the rest. There have been many times in my life when being spontaneous has gotten me in trouble and I said something that I shouldn't have said.
Forgive yourself.

what you are aiming for is inner peace. Sit quietly and clear your mind... every time a negative thought comes into your mind imagine a stop sign - telling you to stop that thought pattern and then focus on the things in life that do make you happy. Go for a walk and make an effort to find the beauty in all of creation.
Daily, find something beautiful in EVERYthing and everyone. It's always there - find it and yes, it takes work.
You are mean to people you like because of some underlying feeling or belief... I do it to push people away before they leave... I hit a turning point when my husband told me that I could push him all I wanted but he wasn't going anywhere... Look within and find out why are you pushing people away and then deal with that... seek professional help if needed.
Last, know that you DESERVE happiness. You are WORTHY of love. Keep telling yourself that and before you know it you'll believe it. Act as if.... Act as if you are happy...Act as if you are full of joy...
I hope that helps...at least a little.

Just remember that there is ALWAYS somebody out there, MUCH worse off than yourself.
It always stops me feeling sorry for myself.
Oh and, the only way to go when you reach the bottom, is up.
Read some self-improvement books and work on yourself until you are happy with who you are.

You're depressed. It gets better. You need to get into exercise. I'm all-out serious. Exercise is THE most under-rated anti-depressant, and probably thre most effective. Break your routine and shake booty my man.
And NOW!....
Bike
row
swim
powerwalk
the crazier the better, the more regular the better. Join a club. Take philosophy less seriously and get your body talking.

Go and search for relaxing videos....... when I feel badly and upset I turn on my ipod and watch videos of rain and water ... the sound of the rain can put me easily into calm state.......... maybe you have things you dont know yet that will put out your misery.
Youre great, you're beautiful, you're unique......... I hope that it makes you feel better....

Turn on Jerry Springer or Maury - those losers on there ALWAYS make me feel better about my life.
At least I know who my baby daddy is!
