Let,s take a look and see what blues is. Blues, like country, tells life stories that are usually depressing int telling what all bad things have happened to the person singing. So lets all get drunk and drown our sorrows and never actually figuring out what the actual problems are. So sad that people focus on the negative and not the positive things in life. Have you ever listened to blues while watching a sunset? I doubt that because it is such a beautiful sight that you do not want to hear depressing music when doing that.
Here is some blues for you. The sky on a clear winter day. The water down in Aruba. Now those are blues I want to see and hear.

I want the world to become a better, and heathier place. I don't want people hurting themselves, by over indulging in drinking. Now if the music, has a positive message, that inspires people to do good, and make the world a better place that is a good thing.

Another form of self-indulgence and excuse to party?
I sure great benefits like alcoholism, laziness and irresponsibility could be expected.
Only the immature and self-indulgent could become members, right?
Otherwise, it is just way too deep philosophically.
Too much of this already, I'm afraid.

It would be an offshoot of Christianity, as most blues musicians make mention of Biblical figures in their lyrics.
