Christians believe that Jesus IS alive and will return to judge the world at the end of time.
Jesus merely walked on the water to show to a group of followers that He was indeed God made flesh. God in His humility is not like men, with an insatiable urge to "show off".

If he was alive today, yes, i do think he would walk across the Atlantic or at least one of the oceans.

If Jesus was alive today, he'd be much too old to walk to the bathroom, let alone across an ocean, if he could do that to begin with.
Which he didn't.

Jesus IS alive today. He rose from the dead, is in heaven now, and he's returning soon. I hope you're ready when he arrives.

I would think that he would start with something a little easier but just as prestigious like the English Channel.

How do you expect anybody to know what Jesus would do if he were alive today?

Only if he could also pitch a tent on the water. That'd be a hell of a long walk in one day.
