You are eligible according to your DD214. Go by an Army Recruiter and speak to them about re-enlisting. You will need to meet the requirements to get back in as far as mental, moral and physical qualifications as well. Good Luck.

The general discharge went away after 12 months. You should be able to go back in but it might be up to the Recruiting Company or Battalion commander to give you a waiver.
ARMY, RE-3 Individuals who are not qualified for continued Army service, but the disqualification is waiverable. Ineligible for enlistment unless a waiver is granted.

The biggest hurdle (for many) prior service is the re-enlistment eligibility code (RE Code) that the service placed on their DD Form 214 (Record of Discharge) at the time of their separation. In general, if the RE Code is "1," there are no bars to enlistment. If the RE Code is "2" for the Air Force, that person is ineligible to re-enlist in the Air Force, but might be allowed to enlist in another branch of the military, with restrictions. If the RE Code is "2" for any of the other services, the person might be eligible to enlist in either the same service or another service, with restrictions. If the RE Code is "3," the individual might be able to re-join their service or enlist in another service with a waiver (depending on the reason for the discharge). If the RE Code is "4," the individual is ineligible for re-enlistment or enlistment in another service.
RE-3 - Individuals who are not qualified for continued Army service, but the disqualification is waiverable. Ineligible for enlistment unless a waiver is granted.
RE-3A - Section 1. Individuals who do not possess scores of or higher in any 3 or more aptitude areas of the AQB or the ACB. However, this code is o longer used for this disqualification. Fully qualified for enlistment if mental requirements of table 2-1 can be met. Prior service mental requirements are nonwaiverable. Waiver, if approved, is valid only for the purpose ol providing continuous, unbroken service for RA in-service personnnel.
Section 2. Individuals with over 6 years of service for ay who have incurred an additional service equirement and who decline to meet the additional service through reenlistment or extension and were separated on or after 15 Aug 1977. Fully qualified for enlistment. Waiver, if approved, is valid only for the purpose ol providing continuous, unbroken service for RA in-service personnel.
RE-3B - Individuals who have time lost during their last period of service. Ineligible for enlistment unless waiver is granted. (paras 2-7 and 2-8a). Applicable to EM who have time lost during thier last period of service.
RE-3C - lndividuals who have completed over 4 months service who do not meet the pay grade requirements of Chapter 2), or who have been denied enlistment under Qualitative Screening Process pursuant to Chapter 4 AR 600-200. Ineligible for enlistment unless waiver is granted. Applicable to persons who have completed over 8 months service who do not meet the prior grade and service criterion of the Qualitative Management Program (AR 600-200 Chapter 4).
Hope this all helps.. you can do search under Army Recodes, this is for Prior Service ... Good Luck,

Not sure but I think you must apply for a waiver. See a recruiter, they can help you apply for a waiver if one is required.

If you need a waiver, for any reason, talk to your enlistment officer ... they can make almost anything happen. I know a guy that had a hefty criminal record and they waived it to enlist him, as long as he got his GED.

depends on the reason for the RE3. as long as the condition/circumstances no longer is a factor, you should be able to get back in.
