i am a girl from Beijing China with a poor english level which too many mistakes on solecism word etc........but i am strugglling to improve for it and i am glad to teach you chinese so that you would talk with a chinese taxi driver or a hotel owner more easier when you come to Beijing in 2008!
i bet you are't willing to get losted in Beijing !!
i am really not sure whether you can get what i said !but you must not make fun of me!

Nihao, you are not doing too bad in English, and actually, your English is many times better than my Mandarin (that's true for most non-Chinese here). English is my second language as well, and I remember struggling for many years and still struggling on some words or idioms...Practice makes perfect, read aloud, watch English TV (CCTV9 for example), and repeat aloud what you hear to practice your accent, intonation and build vocabulary and fluency. In no time, you will be fluent...

I would never make fun of someone trying to learn English.
It is a very difficult language, because there are many exceptions to the rules.

Speaking is the only way to learn, and sentence structure is hard because English sentences are not the same as in most other language.

I understand what you are trying to say.
It takes along time to learn to speak correctly and many native English speakers do not speak correctly.
