"Personally" - I somewhat agree...but perhaps not for the same reasons. People who tend to use that phrase generally (and please know that I do NOT use that term, nor WOULD I ever use it) seem to miss the point that incorporation into the Body of Christ (at Baptism) actually makes THEM the servant...and that to follow Christ is to "take up your own cross and follow (Him)." It's actually an event that takes the "personal" part out of our existence. We now belong to Him and are new creatures, the old has passed away. We live on only as a part of that Body.

Just the opposite actually.
I cannot claim Jesus for anyone else only my own experience and faith.
I cannot stand before God for another, they will stand before God with Christ as Advocate.
Yes, Jesus came and served; he exampled this by washing of his disciples feet.
His blood he gave to wash us clean.
Jesus gives and serves. Do not be surprised. That is how much he loves each and everyone of us.
See: Isaiah 53:5, Luke 12:8, 22:63-

You're absolutely correct. He's not our "personal saviour". This is just one of the many ridiculous terms that modern Churchianity has come up with that appears nowhere in the bible and only serves to alienate and confuse those who are seeking the truth. There is no accepting Him as a "personal Savior". There is only acknowledging Him as Lord of all, including our lives.

No
Personal Savior has another meaning.
That you put Jesus at the head of your life and put other gods (love of money, sinful life, etc)
It is spiritual personal relationship you develop not like those you have with people. You operate at a higher plan.

No - that claim is an acceptance of practising the teachings of Jesus. Not many regard it so, and practise Christianity without really practising what is supposed to be practised.

It's just a way of convincing yourself that you're better than everyone else.
"I'm such scum that I need someone else to save me, and now that I'm saved, I'm going to heaven and you're going to hell. Nanner nanner boo boo."
