Question

Please do the exercises in order - don't get ahead, or you will miss it.

Think of a number between 1 and 10. Got it?

Take that number and multiple it by 9: ? x 9= ??

Now take the sum of your answer and add it together:
?? = ? + ?= ? (say the answer to your multiplication problem
was 20, you would take the 2 and add it to the 0 and get 2, or
2 + 0= 2)

Now subtract that answer by 5: ? - 5= ?
Okay, think of the corresponding letter in the alphabet. For
example, if your answer to ? - 5 was 1, the letter would be A;
2 would be B; 3 would be C; 4 would be D; etc
Got it? Okay. Now think of a country that begins with that
letter. Please do not go any further until you have a country.
Okay. Now think of an animal that begins with the last letter
of that country.
Got it. Great! Now think color that begins with the last letter of that country.

Sorry there are no orange kangaroos in Denmark.

Okay, okay, so I am not psychic, but it is a pretty good trick.
You see the reason why tricks like the above work is because we have all been conditioned to think certain ways, believe certain things. My son learned this trick at a magic seminar and when he got home, he did it on my wife and I. We were amazed. I thought I was thinking freely. He didn't tell me
what number to pick, or what country, or animal, or color. But, if some smart person, who had a lot of time on his/her hands, was able to think of a trick like this that most of us would fall for, just what could God do? I guess my point is
we all have been conditioned to some degree. Is it possible for us to see that and have more compassion for our brothers and sisters, which have been conditioned like us? There is a lot more that can be said but I would prefer that you think about it. I don't think we need any more conditioning.

Probably not, but it is cute. Of course, stuff like that will not work on everyone but I think we get what you mean. It seems like the ones on here who have opposed you the most are probably the ones who think they are the freest, but are actually the most bound and blinded - the most conditioned. That is quite obvious from some of the "knee jerk" reactions. We all know they think how free they are and how they will show you, but that is the problem isn't it and your point is proved. Anyway, I liked the trick and will use it on my friends. I never heard it before, so thanks.

P.S. "Now think color that begins with the last letter of that country" should read " Now think of a color that begins with the last letter of that animal".

Edit: It has absolutely nothing to do with conditioning. The first answer is always 4 (any number multiplied by nine will give you a number that when the digits are added together will add up to nine. 9-5 is always 4. That gives you a "d" for the next part of your quiz. The only country that most people can name that starts with ''d" is Denmark (I had to look it up to find others). That leaves you with an animal that starts with "k". Most people think of kangaroo (it is the best known animal that starts with "k"). Now how many colors do you think of right away that start with "o". You can see that this has nothing to do with conditioning. It has to do with the tiny number of choices left to the person taking the quiz.
