Mobile 120mm Wombats transported on LandRovers were part of the plan to defeat a possible Chinese or Russian invasion, I think I remember.

These weapons were no use against air attack, a full scale invasion means more than just tanks being used, for the Wombat 120mm to be of use it would have to be used in with more conventional forces and weapons.

Mobile anti-tank missiles were part of the plans to defend against Communist invasion everywhere. Yes, they would have been effective.

It would have been a good attempt. They would have had to have large numbers. On the other hand no one really had to worry about either CHina or Russia invading anywhere aff their continents. They don't have the NAVY to sustain it or invade. It would have to be by air and NO ONE can fly enough tanks in to make a difference.

Only if there were alot of them, fighting in irregular asymetrical combat.
