It's funny how the ones who usually criticize the military are the ungratefull civilians who don't appreciate the freedoms that allow them to ***** and moan and ask stupid questions. War is war, nobody ever said it was fair and nobody ever said it was pretty. What about all the innocent men, women, and children who died in 9/11....or maybe all the innocent men, women, and children that died in World War II. Were we wrong for stepping into that one too? I'm never going to say that i agree with everything that the government decides...but i hate to the break it to you the military is ran by the government.....they pay us and they make the overall decisions. As much as i hate to hear about people dying i know that there's people that could care about nothing but killing me and every other american citizen or person who quite frankly doesn't agree with their extremist views....and you know what? i'm glad when i hear that the aircraft i help support by doing my job in the military while in a deployed location kills the terrorist. This being because everyone of them are making it their mission to make sure i don't leave here alive and that a lot of other people die. You're an idiot!

The military is just that!!! do not expect them to be policeman. during WW we fire bombed the heck out of Germany and Japan was these people troops, no it was civilians. the answer to this question is blame the politicians not the army.

when are you and all the other so called armchair experts on Iraq and other conflicts the U.S,military has been involved in going to apply for another brain cell and realise that the military serves where it sent to serve and has no choice in the matter and having arrived in a war zone it has no control over does its best to stay alive and do the job it was sent to do,as a Brit who has been in that boat I'm appalled at the lack of support people like you give while living in the very country that protects your rights at a price paid for in blood and guts that you and your kind will never have,every conflict in the world produces innocent casualty's,always have and always will and bleeding hearts like you jump on the band waggon every time,take off the rose tinted spectacles and see the real world through some crosshairs,its a different view.nearly forgot,as to your question,NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

What is wrong with the United States military is that not every American serves. Therefore, those who are ignorant, stay ignorant. In Isreal, every man and women are bound to tour and defend their country.

In America, we have those who serve, and we have those who believe they should be served. It's like baseball, those who are actually on the field playing have little time to sit on a bench and complain about the game (that those who don't really play sit at the sidelines and shout out their insubstantial expertise). It's the benchwarmers that get angry about the game not being played their way.

listen this sh** happens it happens in every war that's ever been fought the only reason you hear about it and know of these events is because of interfering bloody reporters and of the worlds media who beam this crap all over the world as it happens, thanks to today's technology events like this are headline news in every country which doesn't help matters, these scum insurgents use these women and children as shields because they haven't the balls to go toe to toe with the USMC give the soldiers a break their doing a good job and don't need to worry about what the outside world thinks of them, innocent "casualty's of war" is a sad event but unfortunately there's very little that can be done to prevent it when your fighting people who don't want a straight fight.

There is way to much collateral damage in this war, We will never get the backing of the people if we out right slaughter innocent civilians. We are losing more respect every day, there was a time when American soldiers used to be admired.
The murder,rape abuse of prisoners and torture, The country has loss their morals and are using our service personnel to do their dirty work.

It is hard to believe you were even in the military...you should know how these situation are.

First off there is nothing wrong with the US military. It is not up to just one individual troop to decided what to do. All lot of communication is coming from the rear so what do you expect.
The Iraqi insurgents are not dumb people. You don't think they know some of what is going to happen and make sure it backfires on us. Come on this is war in a very technical age.

It's a warzone, people are fighting for survival, if the engage inn a shootout they keep shooting. You think they can go, oh that's a civilian don't shoot, when they're under fire! The terrorists torture people, so there is killing on both sides. (I am not in any way happy that civilians are getting killed. I feel bad for their families and loved ones, that's if their civilians of course. I do understand how they get killed however which I have gone over here.)
