If he likes to read get him a good book. Or if you want to be creative, get on the computer make him a gift certificate good for a night of doing whatever, for the two of you to do anything he wants-Dinner,Movie, Homecooked meal, Or a night of pure play!? Think that would be pretty cool.

a bday should be made special try making a cake your self and then decorate it with hearts and buy him a musical card and also write him a love letter opening youre heart out to him!!!

ermm.... get him a gift basket with all his favorite stuff.... like, his favorite candy, a CD of his favorite songs,...etc and decorate the basket. ^_^ Money in the basket never hurts either. lol!
Maybe take him somewhere. Like.......to a game? Concert? Beach? Dinner? Movies? Amusement park?
You can always just take a picture of you two. And then get it printed on a pillow..

my boyfriend told me a while ago that when he was little he used to have a stuffed 101 dalmation dog that he loved so much but one day, he put it on a bench, and when he turned back around it was gone...so right now im searching for one...
has he talked about something he really used to love? cause he would love if you show him that you remember little things like that

The best thing I could think of would be to cook him a nice meal and then watch a movie and just show him you love him.

sometimes it not the material gift that counts.....maybe just a nice romantic dinner and a hand made coupon book for you. a get out of trouble card. One good for a kiss anytime that kind of thing....

And maybe mix him a cd of his favourite songs =]
I bought my bf a necklace and did the mix cd idea and he loved it =]
