In my case this happened when a sadistic doctor tried for half an hour to realign a broken ankle without any pain killer.

She managed to make my cry, but I managed to kick her with the haelthy foot....

It happened some time ago, when I was 40.

I was in the army, and one day had to be staff duty driver for the battalion. We had one Ranger detachment in out battalion and one this day, that had an air assault excercise and a night jump. The Sergeant Major wanted me to drive them out to the landing zone--I thought it was great, I wouldn't be sitting in the office all day tasting cookies.

So I got all these rough and smelly men out there, and I was told by their 1st sgtthat if I was going to be out there, I had to participate (he was just teasing me, of course) so when the helicopter came to get them, I had to get on. They all ran up there like they were insane, so I did too. Only right in front of the door was a big hole in the ground that caused me to trip--I wasn't going to fall down in front of these guys, so I stayed upright with a badly sprained ankle. THank God I got to sit in the "hell seat" (the seat right next to the open door) where all the wind and crap blows right into your face, because all the tears that came out of my eyes were not from getting blasted in the face. I wasn't about to shed tears in front of these people!

By the time I got off the helicopter (they didn't expect me to rappelle off) my ankle was a little tender but didn't hurt so badly I couldn't walk.

I was going to state the morning I woke unable to get my head up off the pillow. Honest, no way my head was going to move, the pain unbearable and tears I shed rivers. That was my first real experience of extreme pain and somewhat frightening. Since then I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and extreme pain seems to be par for the course. Two years ago extreme pain, appendix area, went to ER, they could not diagnose it? One year later after a MRI they located prolapsed disc that moves and hits the nerve roots, taking legs out from under me and extreme pain. My Doc has me on Fentanyl 80 times stronger than morphine, but when the disc does its dance, well last time I just passed out cold for three hours, due to the pain going beyond the drugs and my own pain threshold.
I just keep saying to myself, you cannot see pain, hear it, taste it, touch it, but you do feel it. Like many things in life pain is a perception and my perception must be out of whack. Only last time all I managed to say 'If I can only hold on a wee bit longer' and I did not.

When I blew out my knee when I was 25, and when I get a migraine so bad that I can't even sleep or move (mainly b/c I get them so often). Oh yeah, recently, a sadistic doctor gave me a shot deep into the joint between the thumb and wrist. The PA was pulling on my thumb while the dr was digging around in the joint. That one not only made me cry, but I almost passed out.

Had a staph illness on my elbow final 12 months. The Doc opened it..took out up to He might, however left it open to return in two days later (so I have an open wound on my elbow). Therapists got here in to wash out the wound (Open, uncooked, right down to the bone), And they used a water-pik! I did not simply cry - I screamed, kicked and threatened the clinical staff with dying! If it hurts..it hurts and do not allow no person name You a "Baby" due to the fact of it. If they do - inform em You'll kick they are *** whilst You get off the desk.
