I run my karaoke with winamp, which the sound is great.?

When i play ordinary mp3's the sound is rubish. I have tried using the equalizer which doesnt seam to have any effect.In wmp it sounds ok.I could play them in wmp but seeing i am allready in winamp i would prefere to play them in winamp.

What kind of quality are your songs? Winamp should tell you #kbps near the top left. If its bellow 180 then the songs are rubbish and wmp is just making them sound better.
