if sports go used WRX STi or EVO 7/8/ as they are the best bang for buck and would outperform almost any sports cars e.g. porches Ferrari etc etc may need some mods

i would go used with less miles then new bcoz the price you pay when new will drop to used soon as you take it off the court or when in your name. plus there are used ones just as good as new ones

Go MAZDA. Second hand - a decent RX-7 or RX-8 is about £22,000 so around $17,000 over in the USA (considering cars are generally cheaper than over here) or a new MX-5 or MAZDA-3.

If buying a second had car. Buy from a trusted friend you
know has taken proper maintenance with it. There are to
many cars out there that have been in "floods." So do the
"homework" on it first.
Otherwise, buy a new American car, with a warranty, and you will feel, much safer, and the money invested wisely. "Winter"
is coming. <}:-})

Anything Honda. They will last you 300000 miles at least if you change the timing belt, oil and brakes. Mine just died, it was a 1987 with 324000 miles. I got a new Civic and love it. It gets great mileage too. Used hondas are not cheap because they hold their value, but if you can find a 2007, those are much cheaper than the 2008's.

If a used car, look at carfax.com to check out the history of the vehicle.

I definitely recommend it. It cost about $10, but is well worth it.

It may keep you from making a big mistake.

Good luck!

Definetly look at a used one. There are plenty of them out there. A good used one has already taken the initial depreciation hit. So you will get more car for the dollar

Wow, your question is WAYYY too vague. What are you looking for as far as features? Size? (other than "not small")? There are HUNDREDS of car makes and models on the market, I'd suggest doing some research at www.kbb.com, for starters. :)

Good luck!
