I'm a dental hygienist living in West Palm Beach, Florida and really sick of Florida and wanting to move to Honolulu. Is there a lot of dental hygiene jobs there? What are the home prices like? Grocery prices, utility prices, etc. What is the weather usually like there?

Hawaii is extremely expensive. Homes, grocery, gas, utilities, and everything else costs a lot more than on the mainland.

I am from Michigan and my wife and I did a comparison price check on a large grocery list the last time we were on Maui. We found the average cost of groceries on Maui was 40% more than at home.

Many people in Hawaii have to work two jobs to make ends meet, and that is with both husband and wife working.

EXPENSIVE. a gallon of milk can easily run you $5. Home prices are through the roof. 2BR2Ba condos start at half a million..in the ghetto.
