I asked a question about rapture earlier - IDK how to paste the link in (sorry)

Thanks to those who answered...

But it's not really fair is it?

We weren't taught this as part of our RE (Religious Education) in the UK!

So does that mean that we will miss out on the party and have to go through the tribulisation stuff and everything - I don't fancy biting my tongue for 5 months (mind you, its only 5 months - I suppose!)

Anyway - If this is something that the Americans have made up so that they get to heaven first - then it's not fair! I'll have to make something up to give us Brits a leg up!

BTW Someone asked if I had "been to The Cross" recently... you are a little behind the times - It's been refurbished and is now a swanky Itallian restraunt....Shame, The Cross was a cracking pub!

Anyway back to my question - This "rapture" thing - is it fair on us Brits?

Well you can always go hopping across the pond, when the evangelicals get taken 'up', right?

Besides I think the best Americans will be left behind and the average iq in the states will shoot up about 15 points.

Americans just can't help the fact that we are the world's leading marketers. We've done more for the Pizza, Fish and Chips, Hambuger, Hot Dog, Fallafel, Pita Bread, Swedish Meat Balls and Shishkabob than the rest of the world combined.

We're the experts are taking your ideas and doing megthings with them.

Yankee know how!

You deserve a break today, so go visit the Colonel and take home a deep dish Chicago Pizza.

don't be bothered approximately it. regardless of all their propaganda Obama nonetheless gained by making use of a landslide and Bush had the backside rankings in US historic previous. they could attempt to assert their truthful and balanced yet maximum folk of people nonetheless have brains and use them a minimum of quite a few the time. maximum folk are clever sufficient to be attentive to that Fox is conservative. the only people who think of its mainstream are the conservatives. little doubt. they are in a position to ***** with regard to the liberal media till they're blue interior the face. ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN are company MEDIA and are hence no longer often liberal. And MSNBC isn't liberal the two. they have 3 commentators who're liberal and guy or woman who's conservative. it relatively is greater stability than Fox information which has 0 liberal commentators. And MSNBC would not have a slogan that asserts truthful and Balanced. It would not ought to. Fox does.

Don't worry about it. The 'rapture doctrine' is false. The reason why you haven't been tough the rapture theory in the UK is because it's a new concept created by the American Baptist church in the 1800's. Those who believe in the rapture are the ones who will be deceived by satan thinking he is the real Messiah. This is the first death.

And verily, the Lord said unto the people, in a great and mighty voice :

"Thou shalt leave the Brits out of this, for verily they are my kind of people, cantankerous as 'hell', and stubborn as an entire mule train ! Besides, it is a well known fact that only thing that will get most of them in 'rapture' is a pint of 'Old Chimneys Good King Henry Special Reserve' !"

I suppose not but when my British husband moved here to America and was exposed to the more Americanized version of christianity he thought the concept of 'rapture' was absolutely bizarre.

Yes the Rapture will be fair because the people of the UK have the Bible, they have had the King James version for hundreds of years, so you all should know all about the Rapture it is in the bible...So get ready and Be Ready when it comes...
