even before reading the article, what religion(s) would you guess the perpetrator is? ... and would you be surprised to read it was some crazed atheist that carried out the deadly deed?

What does that tell you?

I think the religion of the person would probably not enter my mind. If I were to be pressed to answer, however, I would be inclined to say the perpetrator is most statistically likely to be a Christian.

It would depend on the act. Unfortunately I (we) are programmed by the media etc etc to make such assumptions. That being said, most 'evil' acts I see in the paper don't make me automatically think of religious ties.

Oh, I beg to differ, I can find plenty of headlines that have to do with 'religious' acts of evil.... here's but a few:

And I could go on..and on...and on... but, I don't think there is no need to - you are only writing this stuff because you are ignorant, and find this funny somehow.

Grow up!

I don't think of religion when I read the headlines. Politics maybe, but not religion.

The religion or lack of religion has nothing to do with the crimes they commit.

Pray for the person before you even know about their religion.
