go for it man, if it makes you happy, such a large tattoo is a BIG commitment, and not a decision you should take lightly, but if you feel you really want it, go for it!!
What i would say is don't have it copied exactly, use it for inspiration by all means, but a tattoo should be personal to you, you can be sure 100's of other people saw that film and wanted the same tat, work with your tattoo artist to come up with some thing original, that way, you are the only person in the world with that work, and it makes you piece a work of art, not just a carbon copy of someone else. Also you might want to consider getting smaller sections done and building on it, if its your first, i would get the neck done until the end, get the shoulder, then the arm, that way if you do decide its not for you, you wont have as much to hide.
i don't understand all these people who come to answer a question in a tattoo section just to judge people.

This is the fourth question from people who want/have this tattoo that i have seen in the week since i found this site.
I personally LOVE big tribal sleeves when they are CUSTOM. Copying someone else's tattoo on the other hand is rather sad.
If you have to ask opinions of other people on getting your neck tattooed then you should not do it. Average people will not care for it and will probably hold it against you.
If some day you look in the mirror and say "I don't care, I need to finish this tattoo, I MUST have it" then you should tattoo your neck as well.
Tattoos that cannot be hidden should be images that excite you and that you will love for the rest of your life with an undying passion. If thats not how you feel about it right now, then leave it until you're sure and no one can stop you.

I must say it looks good but on him it is only a temp Tattoo. I am in my mid 40s and also have tattoos that i had done when i was a punk many years ago, but luckily i have them in places where they can only be seen when i take my shirt off where as some of my friends have them on there neck hands and heads. The problem is when you get older and your situation changes (which it will) where you have to look more respectable ie schools for your kids, work interviews, work functions, weddings, family holidays and lots of other things that you can not imagine. All i would say is think long and hard about the long term not just looking sexy now and for a few years.

Movies seem to get people all excited about a lot of things.
Kids want to jump off a tall building hanging on to a fire hose, just because Bruce Willis did it in a movie.
It's the actor that was sexy not the fake tattoo. Ask some girls you know...They probably only noticed his eyes, or smile.
If you are looking to punch up your sex life, don't go over the top with a fake tat idea, that's a sure as hell regret situation.
If you truly want a great tattoo give it lots of thought, and please give it some more time. You really need to be in touch with yourself about what you really want and why.
Tattoos are forever...Life is not erasable...

The tattoo design is just OK. Does it have any type of personal meaning for you? If not, why that design? I am all for tattoos that have meaning and not just that they are "cool".
If my guy had it -- yup I would think it was sexy, but is that the reason you want it?
I do love the fact that your employer is OK with you displaying ink in the workplace.
I have 27 tattoos -- I doubt that anybody else has anything even close to my designs.
For the people concerned about being professional and holding down a decent job, yup it can be done.

What I think of the tattoo itself makes no difference and it shouldn't to you either. You are the one who will live with it.
Seems to me you are getting a tattoo for a wrong reason. At least you don't seem to be drunk. Would this be your first tattoo? If yes get a smaller one. See if you enjoy it and if you can take the pain before doing such a large one.
I have a few myself but none you can see when I'm wearing shorts and short sleeves. I don't care what your present employer says. What about the next one? Are you really willing to shut the door on future opportunities just to look cool?

You are right. Every man is going to have different tastes. I know I can only speak for myself, but I prefer a woman DOES NOT have tattoos. I do not have tattoos. I like to think I am not defiling my body with a bunch of nasty and tacky tattoos. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a few tats that are done in good taste. However, when one has them all over her body like Kat Von D of LA Ink, then it is nasty and wrong. If bikers and hardcore prison inmates think you have too many tats all over your body, then you need to check yourself. If one quits becoming black, white or any other ethnicity and becomes ink people then you got too much ink on her body. If one decides to get a tattoo, they really need to think about futures. How is that tat going to look in 5, 10, 15 or more years when one gets older? Over time, tattoos start fading or stretching when one puts on a little weight. Do you want to be the old person with the scary tattoos? Also one needs to think about where they put those tattoos. A strategically placed shoulder, back or leg tat is OK, but anywhere else is tacky. And never should one put any ink on their face! One needs to think about future job prospects. Kat Von D would be a much prettier woman if she didn't ave all those tats. It is a shame that she has defiled her body with all that ink. For some people getting tattoos can be an addiction. I dated one chick who got a tattoo and then another and another. Next thing you know, she was running out of places on her body. It was a source of argument between us. She wouldn't have any of my pleas to stop. She is too pretty for tattoos.

First off let me say From Dusk Till Dawn is a great movie, I love Quentin Tarantino. I think the tattoo is awesome although it does give off a more bad a** vibe. I would have no problem being with a guy with a tattoo like that personally. I think tattoos are hot as long as the person really likes it and wears it proudly. I would say do it if you like it. Its your body after all.

seriously? ugh. it is not at all sexy, it is very much so a poser tattoo. get something real, get something that you can be proud of. don't ruin your body with some crappy junk tribal tattoo that is uninteresting and cliche.
i would not at all think someone was a badass for having that tattoo, i would think they were a poser dork and would probably- no definitely talk about them and laugh at the pathetic attempt to be cool. i HATE tribal tattoos, are you part of a tribe? probably not. seriously... i cringe when i see tribal tattoos whether large or small. don't do it.
check out some custom tattoos that are actually artful and amazing. check out these tattoos and then realize that what you want doesn't in any way comapre and shouldn't even be allowed... crappy tattoos should be illegal.

Hii. Hmm sorta depends what u look like! Personally i don't like it, i think smaller tattoos are nicer, not ones which completely cover body parts. Although tattoos are sexy, maybe try one that's more original? your getting somethin permanently put on your skin for the rest of your life, would it not be better for it to actually mean something to you rather than one you liked because it looked sexy on George Clooney? Maybe try thinking of something that means something to you, not one to impress others because of who had it in what film.. :)
