how should i start my article?

i have to read this article than summarize it, its about how parents dont need to spend money on toys to make their children smarter there are other ways to help your babies.......like listening to them reading to them........my point is how should i start the summary? please help thankyou

You should pick out the main point from the article and begin with that.

For example, "The intelligence of children is not determined by the quantity of playthings available to them but rather by the quality of their learning experiences.

Then go on from there to say according to the author (whoever they are) - this is the case or that is the case. And give examples from the article to show how the author supports this thesis.
