the sugar isn't great, and it's bad for your teeth, but a glass a day won't be too bad as long as you're not diabetic

All soft drinks contain a lot of sugar and that is asking for a fat layer if you are not physically active. It can also make a diabetes situation come into play whereas if your intake of sugar was less things would not be so bad.
Those colas based on non sugar sweetners are just as bad. Those chemicals are just about as harmful in their own way. And they taste terrible when you are dinking them and leave a really bad aftertaste. Some (many) people drink this sewerage because they are avoiding the evils of sugar. In fact in moderate drinking - 1 glass a day, there is little danger of real cumulative damage from standard soft drinks compared to the results of putting the Sugar Substitutes into your system.

One ingredient will surprise you in what it does to the bodies of cola and other soft drink consumers.
Phosphoric acid damages your bones. It destroys calcium which bones and teeth have as a large part of what they are made of. That has been documented in studies. So as you age, your bones thin. When you fall, fractures come much easier than if you do not consume both soft drinks and caffeine.
The other harmful ingredient is sugar. It is known to cause plaque in the arteries because sugar irritates the lining of veins and arteries. The plaque is the "bandages" your body puts there trying to stop the irritation. Sugar is outright not good for your body all around anyway. There are 17 teaspoons of sugar in each can/bottle of soda you drink. Put that in a dish and look at what you are putting in your body each time you drink one.
Your body, your choice. But yes, moderation would be a good guideline.

A normal, healthy, person, should be able to consume a cola a day with little problems. just remember that both the sugar and caffeine are stimulants. You should also brush your teeth after drinking one, sugar again. People with high or low blood sugar should avoid daily soda's. As should people that are over weight. You should ask your Doctor if you are concerned.

A glass a day will not harm anyone......
3/4 or more a day is an addiction, plus the sodium content and calories etc. check out webmd.com or medicine net.com.

If you're only drinking a glass a day you should be fine. It is, of course, full of sugar but if a glass a day makes you feel good, go for it.

Only 1 glass a day wont hurt you. Its those people who are addicted and have 6 or more cans or bottles who have to worry.

One glass will definitely do no harm, if you don't already have stomach problems, but if you drink several, the acidic ingredients and carbonation can play havoc with your stomach.
