If that's what you want to believe, sure, why not. Superstition is all about what an individual chooses to believe. Personally I think black cats are good luck.

Yes in fact, well, it's a Halloween superstition. However, over in England, it's the exact opposite, if a black cat crosses your bath, it's good luck, but if a white cat crosses your path it's bad luck.

If a black tail comes past you toward you it's bad luck. If he's leaving you it should be good. Dun think a white cat's any good. The guy above me's right the wise people woulda told us.

Just make sure there isn't a large dog nearby. Othewise there might be a large pile of nice white fluff where the cat was in a few minutes.
