They were youths, a violent gang of teenagers. Lets see what you do when a violent street gang is coming after you. Yes, it was extreme, but let's end the lie that these were children.
He's talking about when Elisha got mocked by the youths who had uttered the phrase "go on up bald head" which was a wish for Elisha's death.

God is a the avenger of our notorious deeds, he judges - now through Christ, he is merciful when reason exists to be so, he is non-partial.
The youth that were slain didn't just 'make fun' of a bald person -- no, they knowingly made fun against God's prophet which is a sin of blasphemy. It may indeed even be a sin against the Holy Spirit for which there is no forgiveness.
Thus the killing of these youths may or may not be permanent since there is a judgment day on which all things will be reviewed. Some unrighteous ones shall be resurrected.
For this reason, it served and still serves as a lesson against the sin of blasphemy -- a sin you yourself may like to watch out for?

They were disciples of the Anti-Christ, bent on waging war on earth. God sent the bears (which really were not bears at all, but warriors of God) to destroy them and save mankind. they were not real children, only perceived as such. This is part of the battle that has been waged for millennia between God and the Darkside. Occasionally this battle is perceptible to human beings, usually as some great tragedy (the Indonsian tsunami of a couple of years ago was part of that conflict).
Your baldness is not a part of this epic struggle, so you must live with it.

6 = Knowledge 7 = Truth The 42 bears would be knowledge by truth. The baldness of the prophet means his lack of emotional comformity to the social standards and protocal. They are mocking him for tranquil difference to these standards, and he is caused their spiritual bodies to be ravaged by the knowledge that is governed by truth. That is the nature of the nemesis mentioned here.

That's not God. It's just a story. Look at the message in the Gospels for the truth about God.

Please tell us your Bible reference.
You must also remember that he is not just a loving God, but has other attributes as well. Just look at the book of Revelation, when God wipes out mankind.
Or in Genesis when God destroyed everyone in a flood, except those righteous.

God is obviously bald. So God didn't like people making fun of the same shortcomings that He possesses.
It's all in the there in the Bible.

Why do people who don't believe in any god - loving or otherwise - ask questions about why god does things?!?
