2 weeks ago, I checked myself into a behavioral health hospital because I had an anxiety attack & was feeling suicidal. The doctor put me on antipsychotic meds (Seroquel) 300 mg/day& antidepressants (Wellbutrin) 150 mg/day, & I found out that the doctor went by what the nurses said negatively about me since I didn't get along with them. They were very arrogant & rude & when I had anxiety attacks in the hospital, they snuck behind my back & lied & said I was attention-seeking & paranoid because they're ignorant of OCD. I know I don't have psychosis, so I took a double dose of my meds on Thursday after I got out the hospital, feeling suicidal again since I felt I didn't receive adequate help & the nurses lied on me & the Dr. didn't even try to help me. After that I quit taking the meds cold turkey because I felt I didn't belong on them. & now my legs are shaking uncontrollably. My friend told me to relax in the hot tub, but it only helped a little.

***& also, ever since Thursday night I had trouble sleeping. I only got 3 hrs. of sleep last night. & another reason why I quit the meds is because I read the side effects & heard also that they damage the liver & the liver can't be replaced after it's damaged. I only took the meds for 6 days. How can I be experiencing withdrawals ALREADY?

They treated you outrageously there. What a bunch of unprofessional jerks! I am sorry you had so much trouble; I wondered where you were. I believe you are having trouble because of that medication. It sounds as if the dosage was all wrong and then you went off of it. The doctor should have arranged better follow up for you. Shaking legs is so miserable. You need to go to the ER if it does not stop within the day. I don't want anything else bad to happen to you.
I will be praying for you.

You should go to a regular doctor and be tested for TD (tardive dyskinesia), you may have gotten it from taking seroquel and it can happen with taking low doses and only for a short amount of time though it is rare it can happen. (Read about it at this link in the sources). I myself have taken Seroquel and good for you for getting off of it. This drug in my opinion is more trouble then it's worth. My psychiatrist perscribed it to me without even giving me a sheet of side effect or when not to take it...I have had epilepsy in the past which was a genetic thing. My half sister had gotten it when she hit puberty, and in my family it ends up disappearing once our hormones balance out again as mine did. Well, Seroquel isn't supposed to be taken if you've had seizures in the past because it can make it come back. Well, after being on it for two weeks I started having seizures again and well, tell me that isn't a lawsuit waiting to happen...just don't have the money for a lawyer so I got crapped on.
Those nurses and doctor you were talking about, I've dealt with them all. They're real jerks and shouldn't even be allowed in that field of work. Anyway the second link I've left you is to my support group on Yahoo here that I started up for people just like you and me. You're welcome to join and post, whatever is on your mind or subjects about mental health that you find important and want to discuss with others in the groups. I hope this helps you out and I certainly hope that you don't have TD but you should still get checked for it. Good luck.

I am not a doctor or have any qualifications...
But I know when I was young..my legs used to twitch uncontrollably...
My mum took me to the doctor...she was told I was lacking in Magnesium and Potassium..
I dont know but perhaps the meds you were on have leached them from your body???..I don't know
It is worth a try anyway...
I was put on a magnesium tablet a day and 2 Bananas (high in Potassium)!!!..
It made the world of difference...
I was also told by a NLP expert once that if you keep your eyes above mid point..i.e...don't look down ...the brain stays 'up'...
in otherwords it helps prevent your mood dropping!!!
something to do with the neurology of the brain...
It is all worth a try I reckon and harmless...
Maybe if you look 'up' literally, your world may look 'up' too...
I hope it works for you...This life is so precious, grab it and live it...to the fullest...everyone has a right to be happy...Best wishes to you..

In short, these drugs are very strong and exactly affect the target when taken in appropriate quantities. Now, u took overdosed it,which means inviting for a big trouble.Your symptoms suggests dat u might suffer from Parkinson's Disease......which can happen due to abnormal hormonal activities in the body.consult the same Doctor again...n tell him dat u have taken the overdose of dat tablet....dont delay now......
