Is there a video or book that shows how to cut their hair short at home so I don't have to pay to take her to the groomer all the time?

My dog was given to me with short hair. Im not a breeder so I do not want her coat long. I have seen tons of people with this breed who have short hair.

well the books that you will look in will tell you that they are supposed to be a long haired breed so a book will not help you. i am a vet tech and our clinic has a groomer and when people want to know how to cut their dogs hair on thier own most of the time the groomer will let the dog owners set in on them and watch. and maybe even give some tips on how to do it. but speaking from experience... it may be cheaper to take her to a groomer but its not as easy. you have to have tons of patients and if you mess up one time by cutting her or giving her razor or brush burn she will never ever forget it. one thing that is really hard to do is cut toenails. if you cut to short the dog will be devastated lol.. but just a little pinch of flour will stop the bleeding. i hope this helps you.

I don't know as the breed is suppose to have a coat that is combed. each groomer is different in how htey would shave this breed of dog there are no set cuts. A lot depends on what the owner wants.
even in grooming school I as taught that Lahsa are bruched and combed and have the feet trimmed with scissors as well as the face near the eyes.
