Advertise your services on Craigslist.org for free---pick something people need like cleaning or handyman work or tutoring,etc..Whatever fits your skills and things you are good at. Be prompt, courteous, friendly, neat, organized and honest. Sell some personal posessions or get a loan from a friend/family to raise any money needed for temporary finances. Give it all your attention and don't quit.

Ask a well-off family member for some money. The great thing about this is that there is NO INTEREST (albeit not all the time).
Your last resort would be getting a loan from the bank.

If you have at least a mop,broom,and some cleaning stuff.You can start a Janitorial Business.
i move to a area that sent all its work to Mexico,I was a Machine Shop Leadperson.Now I make 3 times what I did make with half the hours,as a janitorial owner.
