Part of the reason Islam is growing so fast is because of how easy it is to convert. You say one simple prayer, sincerely, and you're a Muslim. Contrast this with what one must do to join, say, the Catholic Church -- months of RCIA classes.
Regarding 9/11, I blame Osama bin Laden and his organization for that, not the Muslim community as a whole. I assume that these thousands of converts feel the same way.

because people are more intelligent and open-minded today.*
they know better than to judge a religion by a group of it's people.
i believe that after 9/11 people who had serious doubts about Islam wanted to know for themselves, discovered the truth about the religion, and somehow found something for themselves in it.
i have read the stories of many Islamic converts, particularly from the West, and that is what i base this answer on.

Islam is the true religion and who ever come to knock the door is welcome and he will find peace and answer to all his problems. Regarding 9/11 according to American research (done by a Senator) can't remember his name the 9/11 was not Osama's work but not other than the beloved Mr. Bush. I mean if we Muslims would say this than we would be twisting the story but it's one of Americas Senator. As said the truth always comes out. More people will come to Islam and it will spread trough out the World Inshallah.

Islam is a magnificent religion, reflecting excellent morals and a true way of life. thats why thousands of people are constantly converting to Islam every day!! if you search deep into this true religion, you will realise it has all the answers to every aspect of life.. thats what makes it a perfect faith!!
And Muslims are not trying to control america coz of its power, infact muslims dont need power!! they are just trying to spread the true faith to all around the globe!!

Christians are not surprised at this! The bible tells us that in the last days men will depart from the truth and follow after doctrines of devils (Satan) as they will no longer be able to hold to the truth. The very originator of all false religions is Satan himself because he know exactly how to make something seem appealing as he knows the weaknesses of man.
The apostle Paul hit the nail on the head when he said "for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to all who will believe"
I personally would see this as a move one step closer to the rapture and tribulation.

500000 is killed every year in middle east bcoz they are christians
the muslims want to control america bcoz it's power
