If you're happy with her, and she's happy with you, I don't think 5 years is too great an age difference. Maybe what you lack in years you make up for in maturity, and that is why if she is slightly immature for her age, you may be suited. We all grow emotionally at different levels. Your emotional level is possibly the equivalent of hers now.

a 5 year difference, no... yet you are younger, so it seems like it, odd to be in high school dating a freshman. Ok, you are now an adult, or you will be soon when you turn 21, that is when it is official. 5 years, even 10 years is no big deal, once you hit a certain point, you can relate to people older and younger than you. Just don't look at it from a high school style view. Then, as far as FUN, older wome, 30's - 40's LOVE younger guys 20-25 for play toys, keep that in mind in case you end up single ever.

My son is 24 now and he is always been involved with girls a bit older... so that he ended up getting together with one who is a couple years older. She's done him good, he's a different guy now, much more centered.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend a big difference in age and I wouldn't go for it either if I was involved. because women do mature earlier than men, in my opinion the mental gap is like 4 - 6 years, so you might want to think over your relationship, my friend.
But in last instance... love matters much more...

age doesn't really matter. it's how you feel about each that counts. and if you're talking about maturity, that all depends within the person involved. most of the time people don't act their age. some may be young at age but already matured in thinking and some can also be the other way around . . . .

Age doesn't have as much to do with MATURITY as most people seem to think. I've known sixteen year olds who had twice the wisdom and common sense of their parents, and middle-aged people who still acted like a whiny spoiled toddler when they didn't get their way.
Actual age is nothing but a number, its the age you act that matters.

Im 15 and my boyfriend is 19, i am finding that age is sort of a problem for us, not enough for it to end... But we are at different stages in our lives, and if anything are wanting different things from the realtionship.
It is all ok but i only think it maters if you are at different stages and want different things from a relationship!

Age doesn't matter as long as you both are happy with each other and you see your relationship going in the right direction. Follow your heart mate.
all the best!
