What is the meaning of transient stability and small signal stability, causes of these unstability and how to protect these unstability.

It's all in the control loop transfer function. And -that- is a subject that I wouldn't even begin to try and discuss here except to say that it can get into some fairly heavy-duty differential equations (or difference equations in a digital control loop) and uses a lot of things such as LaPlace and Fourrier transforms, z-transforms, and a basic shitload of other math.
