I do not see how it follows. You will lose weight if you skip any meal - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will eat less! What happened back then - you ate breakfast, then had two other hearty meals, so you gained weight. Then you missed one of the meals - you lost. It does not matter which one. I suppose if you skip one meal now, you will be losing too. If you want to have three meals a day, count your calories.

well that shouldnt have been happening at age 16, it depends what you were eating for breakfast when you were putting on weight and what you were eating rest of the day.
But you cant change the time, Hmm im not too sure try it eat a healthy breakfast for a few days no junk food or anything bad for you, then see if you gain weight

Skipping breakfast is a bad way to lose weight--you'll just be hungrier later in the day. If you're not starving when you wake up in the morning, then you ate too much the day before. Eat a small breakfast and you'll have more energy during the day.

1) Keep it simple first

you know,eating breakfast is a great help to start metabolism but try not to eat a big one.may be a glass of milk or sth els.I think your body hasn't changed during these years so be careful about gaining weight.just try a simple and light breakfast for a short time then see the result.
