getting statistics on illegals is difficult. OECD says they have 1.1 million Americans, but since they have visa waivers, who is to say they don't leave the country and return every 6 months? Then they would not be legal.

A long time ago, I worked in other countries, but you see, their laws are flexible and the governments are reasonable. You can always talk them into a visa if you know how to approach them. I renewed my business visa every 90 days to keep me legal.

To be honest my parents are citizens of Jamaica but I didnt get a Jamaican passport or naturalize. So I guess I was living there illegally. Also my mom's friend had moved there for 10 years and had never left the country. She didnt have any document to show that she was living there legally. Now she is back in the US and visit Jamaica periodically and immigration officers say nothing to her in Jamaica.

a. make it almost impossible, and
b. make it a criminal offense punishable by incarceration.

Kinda makes you wanna go "hmm"
