Any actual life that comes from a lab came from something that was already living or had been living at one point beforehand. The closest that science has been able to come to creating life from nothing is to simulate a primordial soup and create some of the building blocks of life, including a few amino acids. That's a far cry from artificial life. I leave it up to you to interpret this however you see fit. Why should you believe in God? Only you can find the answer to that question.

What about the soul? Do you think that the artificial life they are creating in the labs will have a soul? I don't think so! They haven't even thought of that. A soul can only be given to a being by God the Father, Our Creator.

The thought of trying to clone, or even make up humans growing them in a lab is something I believe to be a very serious, and very scary. How do you lead, guide, teach ect... a being with no soul?

Sure hope I am not around when they turn them loose!

If for not any other reason, this should be the very reason one should believe in God. Where is that being getting there soul from. Its not Gods Creation, its mans, meaning it will not have a soul.

Gee I don't know Peter. Maybe because it's taken man a billion years to figure out what GOD knew in the begining. Oh and by the way Artificial life is just that ARTIFICIAL. Only GOD gives real life. Plus I'm not sure artificial life has a soul.
Let me know when the labs can make universes and beyond.

|because you think that science has nothing to do with god .It is the working of god only. Is it not like asking why should the hand take food and put it in the mouth because it is the mouth that eats and enjoys the food ?
Al that happened in the lab is God's work. it seems that you Have no clear idea of what the God is.
you have to believe in God because the artificial life is coming from the labs that use natural products and and natural principles codified as science ..

Be an agnostic like me. Which literally means you don't know.
I don't know.
There could be a creator that made or Universe or maybe not.
You are the creator of the Artificial Life in you Lab, so maybe there is some creator that made us and is watching us now. Maybe not.
Einstein believed in god as the watchmaker, not the god that the religious fanatics believe intervene in their everyday lives.

Look up at the sky at night. It is too much for a man to comprehend. If I had to bet I would say there is something greater than us. But I don't know.

Yes, it's becoming possible to create artificial life - replicate life? What is being created/replicated though? Life had to start somewhere that it can be copied. All the more reason to believe in God - He made something we can only attempt to replicate artificially - usually with less success rather than more!

there is nothing artificial about that life. You should read the book cloning after dolly. It may be replication, but it remains legitimate. God, if to you, is the designer of life, then we are simply understanding the mechanisms in which he has designed it . We are understanding, and manipulating (reverse engineering) the operating system of life. Isn't that beautiful. Doesnt that beg the opposite of what you ask. Why should'nt you believe in god, now that you understand that he is able to create such a multi-demensional unvierse. A universe in which unknowns to you or to humanity for that fact, exist even without our awareness of them. Now that we have been able to discover them, (gene coding), does'nt that prove, that there is a greater truth.

I'm really sorry to hear that because since sex will no longer be necessary to procreate, I forsee the day when mankind will evolve to the point that we lose our reproductive organs. There will no longer be 'male and female' just some sort of unisex people. Autosexuals if you will.
Maybe Jesus will come back before then, since that never was his plan for humanity.
Besides what will people do in a storm when the lights go out???
Technology can be a bad thing and I don't like this at all.
